Cake Gaming N.V. is hosted by Cyberluck, a Curacao based Regulating and Gaming Licensing & Hosting provider and operates under the gaming license of Cyberluck Curacao N.V. issued by the jurisdiction of the Netherlands Antilles. Cake poker was created in 2004. It's fairly new site.

Pokerstars launched their site in 2001.  Pokerstars is one of the largest poker sites. Pokerstars' satellite tournaments produced the 2003 World Series of Poker champion, Chris Moneymaker, as well as the 2004 champion, Greg "Fossilman" Raymer. Those two now act as spokespeople for the cardroom, as does 2005 World Series of Poker champion Joe Hachem, also a regular player on the site.
